Minto sells 9-Acre Westlake Parcel to E-Commerce Company
On December 15th, Minto Communities sold a 9–acre parcel in the City of Westlake Florida to West Palm Beach e–commerce company Jamlyn Supply Inc., which plans to relocate its corporate office and operations to the city. The company has already received approval from the City of Westlake to develop the James Business Park, a 145,643–square–foot facility consisting of a 10,103–square–foot office/flex building and a 135,540–square–foot warehouse/distribution facility. The site is located on the corner of West Persimmon Boulevard and Town Center Parkway, near the Publix at Westlake Plaza. Jamlyn has also leased a 3,600–square–foot retail storefront at the Publix, where it is expected to open its first brick–and–mortar store, Aubrey’s Pet Supplies, in the first quarter of 2023. The terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Jamlyn is set to move into its new home in the first quarter of 2024. It joins a number of other developments in Westlake, which includes the Westlake Commerce Center, two retail centers, a pod of quick–service restaurants, two 7–Eleven stores, a regional service center for the Palm Beach County Tax Collector’s Office, and Christ Fellowship Church‘s 800–seat worship center.
Minto, the master developer and primary homebuilder at Westlake, is offering residences in the second phase of The Orchards. This phase will have 241 single–family homes, with prices starting in the $400s. In addition, estate homes and townhomes are still available for purchase. The Westlake Adventure Park, part of the $22 million amenities center, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023. This park will include basketball courts, an adult lap pool, a multi–purpose building, and an event lawn. There are already numerous other amenities available for residents to enjoy.
